Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is a global brand providing a variety of machinery for the Construction and Mining industries.

We are currently looking for an experienced and professional Key Account Manager to join our Mining team based at Brisbane Corporate Support Group office. The main focus of this role is to identify and maximise our business development and sales opportunities.

Reporting to the Eastern Region Mining Manager, you will be responsible for: 

  • Taking the lead in delivering business strategies within a defined territory
  • Contributing to the overall performance of the region and towards the goals of the broader business
  • Providing technical expertise to the region to support delivery of superior customer service and the acquisition and maintenance of profitable customer accounts.
  • Reporting of activity, prospects, sales opportunities & competitor activity.

To be successful in this role you will need: 

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar Business Development/Marketing Sales role within the mining or mining services industry.
  • Demonstrated success in selling high end solutions within a mining and industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct high level negotiations and build long term customer relationships.
  • Technical background with appropriate tertiary qualifications in mining, mechanical, control systems engineering, marketing or business.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and driven to hit KPI’s and targets
